i've decided
today, friday april 20th, i have no obligations. i don't have class. i don't have to work.
i didn't know what to do with myself today.
sure, there are plenty of things i can and should do in the princeton area: finish cleaning my room which would mean hanging my last two pictures and organizing my dvds, go get a haircut, go to the gym, read for classes, write thank you notes.
the problem is that even if i do those things, i still think that i'm going to have a lot of sitting around time. and i don't want a special day like this that comes around so infrequently to be wasted.
so, i'm pretty sure i'm going to new york. i don't have plans for what to do there yet. i'm probably going to go to a museum because i have never been to one in nyc (the one time i tried to go to the met, it was monday and the museum was closed). i might stop by the tkts booth and see if there's a show i would like to see. mostly, i'm going to just explore.
there are two reasons this may not be the best plan: i'm short on funds. i have to work at 8 a.m. tomorrow. i'm not a morning person. i will be cranky. and going to new york usually means i'm going to get back fairly late.
here's why i'm disregarding those reasons: i'm going to pick up my paycheck before i leave. i just had a credit increase on one of my cards (that's not really a good reason to disregard ... actually it's a bad reason but i'm going to pretend for now that it's not). i can handle and get over crankiness for tomorrow. i won't have to interact with many people until 10. it's worth it to not just sit around all day and watch the squirrels outside my window.
it's a gorgeous day outside and deserves to be properly and thoroughly enjoyed! besides, i can do the other things i need to do tomorrow...
if there's anyone else that feels like a jaunt to nyc, call me and we can meet up!
peace out ya'll!
